Tanya GK Bentley, PHD
Tanya is an experienced health services researcher with a demonstrated history of health economics and outcomes research in the health policy and life sciences industries. She is a research scientist at the UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center, and a breathwork facilitator in Los Angeles. Tanya is skilled in business development, study design and implementation, health economic analyses, decision sciences, scientific writing and presentation, and team leadership. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University, and a Master's and PhD in Health Policy/Decision Sciences from Harvard University. Having recently transitioned into mind-body medicine research, Tanya has a specific interest in the effectiveness of active, voluntary breathing practices on health and human performance outcomes.
She resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, 2 kids and the family dog.
Brian is a human performance expert, educator, author and public speaker. Brian is a coach with more than two decades experience of innovating new protocols for training Olympians, professional athletes, entrepreneurs and high performers in numerous realms on the use of mechanical and breathing tools to achieve maximum output in training, competition and recovery. He is the author of the New York Times Best Seller Unbreakable Runner, founder of The Art of Breath, a division of Power, Speed Endurance, and co-founder of 3Fu3l and XPT Life. His clients include: Ari Emanuel, Kelly Starrett, Tim Ferriss, US Military Units (Navy, Army, Marines), Tia Clair Toomey and many others.
He resides with his wife and dog in San Mateo, CA.
Rob is a health and human performance coach, manual therapist, and speaker who uses his work to deepen the scientific understanding of human potential. With nearly 2 decades’ experience in the field, Rob has training in manual therapy, strength and conditioning, and structural and movement therapies. Rob is Co-Founder of the Art of Breath Seminar Series, Director of Education for UnScared, Inc., and owner of CrossFit Virginia Beach. He previously worked with Dr. Kelly Starrett’s world-renowned MobilityWOD to educate athletes and coaches on best practices in movement and human performance. Rob has experience as a speaker for groups such as Elite Military Units, the Wounded Warrior Project, the Institute for Rowing Leadership, and ALTIS (formerly World Athletic Center). Rob’s journey is about developing a deeper understanding of health and performance to determine best practices for optimizing human potential.
Rob resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his wife, daughter, and a myriad of family pets.
CFO, ASSISTANT TREASURER
Bryan is a Texas native with a lifelong passion for sports, human performance, and finance. He brings these interests together in his work as CFO of HHPF as well as two athletic performance companies: Unscared, Inc. and SportsFuel, Inc. Prior to joining the small business and nonprofit sectors, Bryan spent a decade in corporate banking and healthcare finance. Regardless of the industry, Bryan prides himself in creating value for his coworkers and the customer. Bryan also provides human performance coaching for PowerSpeed Endurance and the National Pro Grid League (NPFL) New York Rhinos, where he is passionate about helping professional to novice athletes push their limits physically and mentally and breed discipline in all aspects of life. Bryan graduated from Trinity University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and University of Texas at Antonio in 2008 with an MBA. Bryan was an all-conference safety on the Trinity University football team and has competed in the CrossFit Games and NPGL.
Bryan lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife and daughter.
Rachel Berman, MS
Rachel Berman is a researcher and consultant to nonprofit organizations, with a focus on strategic planning and program evaluation. She previously worked in state and local governments as an administrator in social services agencies. She received her Master's Degree at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and her Bachelor's Degree at Wesleyan University.
Darrel is a pre-med student at Grand Canyon University, Olympic trialist, owner of a non-profit CrossFit affiliate, and United States Air Force veteran. At HHPF, Darrel applies research skills he is learning at school to review published literature and developing educational content. While serving on active duty, he was concurrently running professionally, managing a non-profit, traveling the world to teach with CrossFit HQ, and coaching CrossFit Regionals and CrossFit Games athletes. As Darrel transitions out from a successful military career, he continues to work as the Head Coach for Power Speed Endurance’s Tactical department.
Darrel resides in Phoenix with his partner, Lindsey, and their three dogs.

Yuchang Zhou is a designer and web developer, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science at Cornell University.
At HHPF, Yuchang applies her programming and creative skills to building the HHPF website and developing organizational and educational materials. Her work includes developing color schemes, aesthetics, user-friendly interfaces, composition and branding. Yuchang enjoys being a freelance illustrator and using programming to make designs efficient and realizable for organizations and their users.
Yuchang lives at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
