Funding

The Health & Human Performance (HHP) Foundation is a brand new organization being formed and run as a nonprofit. We are in the process of applying for IRS 501(c)(3) status, which will make us a tax-exempt charitable organization. In the meantime, donors can still claim tax deductions that will be retroactive, after the status is officially approved, to the date we incorporated.

The majority of the HHP Foundation’s donations will go into a general pool that funds the full range of human-subjects’ studies aligned with the HHP Foundation’s research agenda. In select situations, financial contributions be used for a specific purpose (e.g., only to study patients with a specific condition, or to develop implementation tools, etc). No funds of this type will be accepted if any conflict of interest is posed. When conducting clinical trials, the HHP Foundation’s first priorities will be participant safety and anonymity, as well as compliance with Internal Review Board (IRB) policies.
